Storari: 6.5 - Dealt adequately with the long-range efforts that came his way.

Oddo: 4.5 - Shaky in defence, and was poor when he ventured forward. His crosses into the penalty area were more hopeful punts than measured balls delivered with any kind of accuracy.

Nesta: 6 - Insisted on playing a number of long balls in the first half that cut out the midfield, and should have been punished for losing Lucarelli in the first half. More composed in the second period.

Thiago Silva: 6.5 - Handled the threat of Tavano well and made a good block early on from Pulzetti. Looked uncertain at times but generally a decent performance.

Jankulovski: 5 - Did little going forward and struggled to deal with the double threat of Pulzetti and Raimondi down the Livorno right hand side.

Ambrosini: 6.5 - Battled hard in the heart of the Milan midfield and was as involved as possible in attack. Won the free kick from which Pirlo hit the crossbar.

Flamini: 6 - Slightly careless in possession in the first half but looked to create opportunities.

Seedorf: 6 - The Dutchman had a lot of the ball but was reluctant to get out of his comfort zone and really drive at the Livorno defence. Looked much happier in a more advanced role after Ronaldinho's withdrawal.

Ronaldinho: 4 - Awful. Totally anonymous for the time that he spent on the pitch. Even standing over a set piece he was frequently disappointing with his deliveries.

Pato: 6 - Tried his best with the limited service that he had, but found himself pulling out wide or coming deep to find the ball. Had one good effort that forced De Lucia into a good stop at his near post.

Huntelaar: 5.5 - Not his best day. Left slightly isolated by Pato's desire to find the ball, and only had one half chance with a header from Jankulovski's cross.

Substitutes

Inzaghi: 6.5 - Had some half chances and was the beneficiary of increased service from the midfield after Pirlo's introduction.

Pirlo: 7.5 - Milan's most dangerous player after he was brought on. Unlucky to hit the bar with his free kick and gave Livorno all sorts of problems with his vision and finesse. Unfortunately no one could take advantage of the chances he was invariably involved in creating.

Abate: 6 - Little time to make an impact but his pace worried the home defence.
