Dida- 7.5: Took a lot of stick following the midweek howler in Madrid, but he looked to silence his critics with a stunning save at the death.

Oddo- 6: The wing-back got forward on numerous occasions but was could have done more to avoid the cross which lead to Chievo’s opener.

Nesta- 8: Gave an organised display at the back and became the unlikely goal hero with a late double that gifted the Rossoneri a priceless victory.

T.Silva- 7: Put in a disciplined performance alongside Nesta and the pair are gradually forming a resolute partnership.

Antonini- 6: Made some good forward runs and provided Milan’s only real chance of the first half when crossed for Seedorf.

Flamini- 6.5: The Frenchman worked his socks off all evening and provided a useful alternative in the middle of the park.

Pirlo- 7: The Italian midfielder kept his side pushing forward when the chips were down and led the side to a comeback against a very dangerous Chievo outfit.

Seedorf- 7: The Dutchman was a constant source of danger throughout the encounter and was denied by an impressive Sorrentino on more than one occasion.

Pato 6: Following his coronation at the Bernabeu in midweek, the Duck seemed a little off the pace as the failed to finish off a number of promising through balls from Dinho.

Huntelaar- 5: The Dutchman is still adapting to the Italian game and was kept quiet for prolonged spells.

Ronaldinho- 6.5: The Brazilian put in a generous performance and is starting to work much harder for the good of team. Had Pato been sharper, Dinho may well have had an assist to his name.

Substitutes

Borriello- 6.5: Proved influential in the Rossoneri’s late onslaught and may even claim an assist to Milan’s opener after seeing his effort come crashing off the bar into Nesta’s path.

Inzaghi-N/A: Almost scored the late winner with a wonderful shot on the turn inside the six-yard box.

Zambrotta- N/A: Brought on late on to take advantage of the retreating Chievo backline.
