CATANIA Vs AC MILAN 0 - 2
Goal Scorer :
AC MILAN : Klass Jan Huntelaar 90+3', 90+5'
Yellow Card :
Catania :Biagianti 35', Martinez 42', Spoli 49'
AC Milan :M Flamini 32'
Player Ratings From Goal.com
Dida: 7 - Another good performance from the Brazilian, he was rarely troubled but always proved ready when called into action.
Abate: 7.5 – Up and down the flank like a locomotive at times. The youngster was one of Milan’s most threatening outlays in the opening period.
Nesta: 7.5 - Efficient performance from the Italian and got the better of Martinez when Catania looked at their most threatening. Still has a great eye for positioning as he played the opposing forwards into offside positions on numerous occasions.
T.Silva: 6.5 – Did his job alongside Nesta and will be glad to have kept a clean sheet following the Rossoneri’s recent difficulties at the back.
Zambrotta: 5 – Did his job at the back, but failed to get forward as much as his coach would have liked and was relieved of his duties shortly after the hour mark.
Flamini: 6 – Worked hard in the middle of the park but he certainly lacks the eye of the man he replaced, Andrea Pirlo.
Ambrosini 6.5 - Good in possession and tried to dictate the play from the middle of the pitch. Gave subsequent cover in front of the defensive line.
Seedorf: 5.5 – Had a number of chances to break the deadlock and should have scored late on following an inviting ball from Ronaldinho.
Pato: 6.5 - He was fairly quiet, but showed flashes of brilliance as he tried to set up his team-mates.
Borriello: 6 – Not one of his most emphatic performances but he worked his socks off providing a target from which his fellow strike partners looked to play off.
Ronaldinho: 8 – He was constantly a threat with his darting runs from outside the box. Unlucky not to score late on with an audacious attempt from a corner that came crashing off the crossbar.
Substitutes
Antonini: 6.5 - Looked lively when he came on and linked up well with Dinho.
Inzaghi: 7 – An immediate threat following his introduction. Turned provider with an instinctive cut back to Huntelaar for the late opener.
Huntelaar: 8.5 – Snatched the man-of-the-match award with a late double that dashed Catania hearts. His second goal was a moment of pure genius and showed his doubters what he has to offer the Rossoneri.

Player Ratings from Goal.com
AC Milan
Dida 5 Suspect handling on the goal but pushed enough around the post to merit a decent mark tonight.
Oddo n/a Lasted barely half an hour before succumbing to injury. Was at fault for the goal before his departure.
Nesta 4.5 The veteran was far from his best tonight. Nesta gave the ball away too readily and was slow off the mark in reaching Marseille's energetic attackers. Will want to forget this one.
Thiago Silva 7.5 The one central defender to escape without a blemish on his copy book. Well positioned for the duration and helped his more experienced colleague through a difficult game. Also, his mid to long range passing was second to none.
Zambrotta 5.5 Dived and was booked in the opposition penalty area but that may be a testament to his willingness to get forward. Did well in that respect, but so did Bonnart on the same side for OM.
Ambrosini 6.5 Little subtlety to the captain's display; his was a tenacious performance but he ran out of steam as the second half wore on. Nonetheless, a forceful midfield presence.
Pirlo 5.5 Not his best display in the red and black. Lucho bullied him in the first half and he struggled to find the key balls that usually come easily.
Seedorf 7 Linked the play well between midfield and attack and was the one Milan midfielder whose energy levels failed to sag. Full of craft but measured it out with a competitive spirit.
Pato 7 Continues his fine Champions League form. Worried Taiwo with the ball at his feet and was unlucky not to have claimed a goal on a night when his own personal chance tally was limited.
Ronaldinho 7.5 Impressed again on the left side of attack. Full of tricks and flicks, he added substance to his style with some killer passes into the centre.
Borriello 5.5 Gets cursory marks for the one goal he scored but could have had a hat-trick. Missed too many chances when played into potentially match-winning positions.
Subs:
Abate 3.5 Struggled all night against a variety of opponents. Not up to the standard and lucky not to have conceded a penalty.

Player Ratings From Goal.com
MILAN
Dida - 7.5: May have conceded three, but Milan would have lost today had the Brazilian not produced a string of superb saves - particularly in the first half.
Oddo - 5.5: Offered his support going forward, but often left his side open and did not have the legs to get back. At fault for Lazzari's goal.
Kaladze - 4.5: A really shaky performance from the Georgian, who lost Matri for his goal and committed numerous errors. Nesta was sorely missed.
Thiago Silva - 6: The Brazilian is a class act, but this wasn't one of his better days and he had too much to do playing alongside three veteran defenders.
Zambrotta - 5.5: Did not get out of second gear and this penalised Milan who really needed more urgency at times defensively. Was perhaps saving himself for midweek.
Pirlo - 5.5: A weak link for Milan today. Vulnerable when Cagliari attacked, and a little careless going forward himself as he wasted a number of counter-attacks.
Ambrosini - 6.5: Battled valiantly in midfield, and gave as good as he got against the likes of Conti and Dessena.
Seedorf - 8: A class act every time he touched the ball, and did not once waste possession. Always in control, always creative, Seedorf scored the first of the goals this afternoon.
Pato - 8: Electric performance from the young sensation. Scored Milan's third goal with a rocket, and was involved in two of the others.
Ronaldinho - 8: Not too involved in the opening stages, but then burst into life 10 minutes before half time and had a mesmerising second half. Assisted Milan's third goal, scored the fourth from the spot, and executed some delightful flicks and tricks.
Borriello - 8: A decisive game from the target man who, aside from holding the ball up, created Milan's first, scored the second and won the penalty for the fourth. A very fruitful outing.

Abate - 6: Added a threat on the counter.
Inzaghi - N/A

Player Ratings from Goal.com : Lazio 1-2 Milan
MILAN
Dida- 7.5: Given a lot to think about in the final stages and pulled off a couple of spectacular blocks to deny Zarate a late equaliser.
Zambrotta- 6: The Italian got forward on numerous occasions in the first half but he became increasingly exposed as Lazio came back late on.
T.Silva- 7.5: Opening the scoring with his first league goal of the season, and set the Rossoneri onto a textbook victory at the Olimpico. Despite his unlucky own goal, the Brazilian made a whole host of decisive interventions after the break to keep his side’s noses in front.
Nesta- 7.5: Put in an expert performance alongside Thiago Silva, and left Rocchi offside on numerous occasions with his intelligent defensive line. Il Capitano didn’t merit the early whistles spared for him by his former supporters.
Oddo- 5.5: Made some good forward runs, but was often exposed by Zarate who didn’t hesitate to take him on.
Seedorf- 6.5: Gave a good account of himself alongside Pirlo and could have added a third for the Diavolo on the stroke of halftime.
Pirlo- 7.5: The Italian midfielder ran the show in the middle of the park this afternoon and was the spark behind the Milan counter.
Ambrosini- 7: Worked his socks off when the Aquile looked their most spirited late on.
Ronaldinho- 6.5: The Brazilian would have had a higher score had he managed to build on his top first half performance after the break. Dinho didn’t push enough in the second half and this allowed the Biancocelesti to find a way back.
Pato- 8: Usually finds the net at the Olimpico, and lived up to his reputation with a well taken header before halftime. Could have had a hat trick in the second period had Muslera not been so alert between the sticks.
Borriello- 4.5: After his impressive performance against Parma last weekend, the Italian bomber was far below standard this afternoon and did his best to waste numerous opportunities in front of goal.
Substitutes
Inzaghi- 6.5: Despite only featuring for the final quater of an hour, he looked far more threatening than Borriello had been for the previous 75 minutes.
Flamini- 6: Produced a wonderful crack on the volley late on that needed an equally top save from Muslera.
Abate- N/A: Given a late run out to help the Rossoneri deal with a late surge from the Biancocelesti.

Player Ratings: AC Milan 1-1 Real Madrid from Goal.com
AC Milan
Dida: 5 - Spilled again to the detriment of his team and persisted with his frustrating knack of parrying into his own area. Fumbled on crosses but pulled out an outstanding late save from Raul.
Oddo: 5.5 - Relatively efficient in his duties again this evening, although he will be happy not to face Marcelo every week.
Nesta: 7 - Invited the Madrid attack all the way to the depths of the Rossoneri back-line and stood resolute alongside Silva. Another effortlessly world class showing. A study in consistency.
Thiago Silva: 7 - A composed showing from the young Brazilian. Competed well alongside Nesta, he limited Benzema and Higuain, one aberration aside, to very little.
Zambrotta: 7.5 - Raided the left-flank with great effectiveness after a poor opening from the hosts. Earned the penalty and curbed the attacking enthusiasm shown by Ramos.
Ambrosini: 8 - Once Milan gained their foothold, it was the responsibility of the captain to shut out the Merengues. He did, with aplomb, and shadowed Kaka into the periphery of the game.
Pirlo: 5.5 - Set-piece delivery was typically accurate and he made himself available for the majority of passes through the midfield. Quiet by his standards though.
Seedorf: 7.5 - The man has class oozing from every pore. His passing and tackling were second to none and he showed remarkable energy in his offensive and defensive duties. A cameo with Ronaldinho in the second half was a joy to behold.
Ronaldinho: 8 - Not quite his brilliant best, but not far off. The vision on his through balls was brought further into focus, he dispatched a wonderful penalty and he even made a tackle or two.
Pato: 9 - Milan's most potent attacking weapon, wreaking damage throughout the 90 minutes. Had a seemingly legitimate goal chalked off and his guile earned at least two Merengues bookings. Efficient with his delivery of crosses too.
Borriello: 4.5 - Showed some good movement in the second half, laid off well for his midfield but could not make a goal threat of himself.
Subs
Inzaghi: 6 - Had a late chance to steal the show.

Player Ratings: Real Madrid 2-3 AC Milan from Goal.com
AC Milan
Dida 5.5 Partially redeemed himself after a calamitous error with a string of fine saves. Will not be pleased to have been beaten on his near post for Drenthe's equaliser though.
Oddo 6 Gave the side decent width from attacking positions and defended adequately.
Thiago Silva 6 Initially nervous but grew into his surroundings. Should have scored the winner but his header was ruled out incorrectly.
Nesta 7.5 The veteran is back to his best. Showed great anticipation and positioning sense throughout and was a calm influence in the Rossoneri ranks.
Zambrotta 5.5 Not the marauding presence he once was but efficient nonetheless. Had some difficulty with Benzema, particularly in the first half.
Ambrosini 6 Provided the through-ball for Pato's first but was largely overrun in midfield.
Pirlo 7 Did not make his presence felt until the final third of the game but lit the touchpaper on proceedings with an exquisite goal.
Seedorf 7.5 Finishing was wayward, however, his deliveries were second to none. Prompted the late winner through his vision and awareness.
Ronaldinho 6 Peripheral; showed only glimpses of both talent and interest.
Pato 8 A mature performance; had the measure of Marcelo and plugged away as his side struggled for chances. He eventually came up with the goods.
Inzaghi 4 Utterly anonymous.
Subs
Boriello 5 Limited contributions.
Flamini n/a

Player Ratings from Goal.com : AC Milan 0-1 FC Zurich
AC MILAN
Marco Storari - 6.5: Pulled off a couple of fine saves that stopped the scoreline from being even more humiliating.
Ignazio Abate - 6: Adventurous and did well to charge forward and hit early crosses into the box.
Alessandro Nesta - 7.5: Faultless as ever, dictating play as Milan kept a high line and used his still impressive pace and intelligence to marshall the defence.
Kakhaber Kaladze - 5.5: Strong and aggressive but his positional sense should be a lot better by now. Marking space when the corner came in that led to the goal.
Marek Jankulovski - 5.5: For someone who is used as a wing-back, the Czech Republic defender is not exactly Cafu-like going forward. Makes the runs but rarely does anything useful with the ball.
Mathieu Flamini - 5: Anonymous and lacking the kind of bite and enthusiasm that Gattuso has always provided.
Andrea Pirlo - 6: The Metronome is actually starting to look a little bored of chipping and lobbing balls up to the strikers. Needs a new challenge.
Massimo Ambrosini - 6: Worked tirelessly, ran a thousand miles and yet you can't help feeling that he isn't the ideal player to have in the box.
Clarence Seedorf - 6.5: A decent first half saw him drifting left and using his skill to beat Swiss defenders with ease. Replaced at half-time through no fault of his own.
Alexandre Pato - 5: Another dismal showing for a young talent who looks as if he has fallen out of love with the game.
Filippo Inzaghi - 6: Played on the shoulder as usual, got into goalscoring areas as usual, but couldn't find a way to get the ball in the net.
Substitutes:
Gianluca Zambrotta - 6: One last minute strike hit the woodwork.
Ronaldinho - 6.5: Tricky and productive, nearly forced an opening.
Oguchi Onyewu - 5.5: A debut characterised by a lack of communication and a small heap of indecision.
